Acting for film & tv
I offer private acting coaching for emerging actors and seasoned veterans via Skype or FaceTime, depending on your preference of application.
I have developed a dependable technique, that I can share with you, based on hundreds of hours of training, working with hundreds of actors and thousands of hours on set.
Online Workshops, Audition Preparation, Self-Tapes
Workshop: You get my full attention as we work together to get you up to speed in a private multi session workshop.
Learn how to be confident, genuine, interesting and compelling in front of the camera.
Have an audition coming up? I'll help you be ready to kick it and stick out from the crowd.
Self tapes can take time and are often frustrating to do on your own.
Together we'll prep the scene, I'll read with you, shoot it, edit it and send it off to your agent or casting.
The Craft of Acting
I studied for years in Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles.
Performing as a professional actor since 1982, strictly in film and TV since 1984.
I realized being trained for the stage is one thing, having a real craft that I could rely on for the different medium and quicker pace of working in front of the camera took me years to study, understand, learn and develop...
I can give you the tools so you'll be prepared to deliver a compelling performance and have a career in film and TV.
The learning never stops. We never stop improving our craft, expanding and pushing ourselves as we grow.
I can be there to help you, to push you, to listen to you.
When you act, you are working with your partner, the director and ultimately for the audience. When you audition, you're trying to land a job. These are two different disciplines.
And let me be blunt; if you don't get the job, no one will see your acting.
I've been there. I understand what you’re going through and what it takes to prepare an audition, a role, to be ready for an important moment.

“Chris Di Staulo is an actor’s director with an extremely meticulous eye for detail. Chris has directed me in various films and plays over the years. Our first coaching session was for an audition for the Jesse Owens biopic, ‘Race’, starring Jason Sudeikis. I booked ‘Race’ in 2014.”
Jeremy Ferdman: Actor (“Race”, “Dominion” [John Malkovich], “Man Seeking Woman”)
“Chris did a fantastic job with my demo reel. I'm always a bit nervous when I'm on camera with a new director but Chris made me feel totally at ease. He gave me plenty of time to play in front of the camera and offered helpful notes and encouragement throughout. I never felt rushed or judged. He also was able to get the reel to me in a short period of time and was quick to make the edits I needed. I would recommend Chris Di Staulo to anyone.”
Ashlyn Kusch: Actor
“Chris has a subtle technique that allows me to realize and refine the character from an honest, rooted place. His unique insight is inspiring. There have been many times when I have referred back to some of his coaching points and was able to apply them to a totally different scenario or role. Thank you, Chris, for always making me feel comfortable, valued and respected for the choices I make and the places we have found together.”
Suzanne Pratley: Actor (“Groupies”, “Fame and Fidelity”, “Bizarre Murders”)
